Here at The PAI Group of Companies we have recently further enhanced our sustainability credentials by becoming Silver Members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS).

Vaughan Sound Installations Ltd t/a PAI Group aim to take a leading role in defining best sustainability practice. We are committed to implementing the requirements of all relevant sustainability legislation and regulations and, where possible, exceeding any relevant minimum requirements.

SCSS is a virtual learning environment that allows businesses to develop their sustainability knowledge and competence. Through the School, companies in the construction industry can confidentially assess current knowledge, develop prioritised action points and access free sustainability training and support.

Partners of the scheme include construction giants Aggregate Industries, Balfour Beatty, BAM Construct UK, Carillion, ISG, Kier, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall, Sir Robert McAlpine, Skanska, Wates and Willmott Dixon, all of whom are piloting this initiative through their own supply chains. Through these partnerships the School has secured significant funding to help the construction supply chain to develop their sustainability skills.

There are currently 40 Silver Members across the UK covering key industry areas such as; building and civil engineering works, building finishing works, building support services, business services, concrete works, construction products and materials, demolition and clearance, design/consulting engineering, fabricated components, fixtures, furniture and equipment, groundworks, labour agencies, land reclamation, M&E services, main contractors, oil and gas supply, plant and machinery hire, road and bridgeworks, specialist interior fit out, steelwork, stone and brickworks, test and commissioning, tunnelling and waste management.

As an open learning environment the School provides a wealth of resources to its members including: e-learning modules, webinars, interviews, workshops, tools, and case studies. Face to face training courses are also offered, delivered by recognised industry bodies.

Having completed an assessment and become Silver Members, PAI Group now benefits from having a bespoke sustainability action plan which allows us to assess our current strengths and identify areas in need of further development, whilst we are also able to re-assess our performance and track the progress of our sustainability credentials over time.

Committed to continuous improvement across all departments, PAI Group are focused on keeping up to date with the latest sustainability issues and the priorities of our clients. Our Sustainability Policy is available to view and/or download here.
